Marilyn M. Doud, 75, of Wellsboro, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at her home.

Born on Feb. 9, 1938, in Elmira, N.Y., she was the daughter of Frederic and Margaret (O'Dell) Butler. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Richard H. Doud in 1995.
Prior to her retirement, Marilyn was employed with Mansfield University from 1969 to 1998 as a custodian. She was a member of the Independent Bible Church, the Loyal Order of the Moose in Wellsboro, the Wellsboro Vets Club and the Canyon Squares.
Marilyn is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Patty Doud of Williamsport; three daughters, Sue Wheatley of Wellsboro, Debbie Pauley of Wellsboro, Kathy Doud of Denver, Colo.; a step-daughter, Carol Henderson of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Doud of Missouri; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman "Nub" and Ann Butler of Florida, Neal and Lorraine Butler of Elkland; a sister-in-law, Mary Butler of Tioga; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. In addition to her husband, Richard, she was also predeceased by a son, David Doud in 2005 and a brother, Eugene Butler.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Monday, March 18, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St. Mansfield. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, immediately following calling hours at 11 a.m., at the funeral chapel with Pastor Debbie Button officiating.
