Douglas J. Pendrell lost his battle with ALS on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.
Doug was 61 years of age. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Olmsted Pendrell; loving father to Timothy; step-father to Martin and James Dochstader; dear son to Frank Pendrell Jr. He was preceded in death by loving mother, Elsie Pendrell. Leaving behind are two special brothers, Frank Pendrell III, and James (Kathy) Pendrell. Son-in-Law to Joanne Petusky of Wellsboro.
Doug retired after 33 distinguished years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a geologist in the Omaha District in 2007. He moved to Long Island after being diagnosed with ALS to be closer to family. Doug enjoyed fishing, golfing and just being with friends. Many will sorely miss him.
