Frederick J. Losinger, 74, of Rattler Road, Wellsboro, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

He was the husband of Evelyn L. VanVliet, whom he married on Sept. 17, 1966.
Frederick was born on Dec. 18, 1939, in Delmar Township, the son of the late Kenneth and Caroline (Smith) Losinger.
He was a graduate of Wellsboro High School with the Class of 1957. Frederick was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the former Borden Milk Plant, Wellsboro. He was a member of Draper Baptist Church. Fred had a passion for vegetable gardening. In addition he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Losinger; son, Jack Losinger; daughter, Kimberly Deats; all of Wellsboro; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Marilyn Losinger of Wellsboro; his sister, Carolyn May Losinger of Wellsboro; several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Frederick's Life Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 2 to 3 p.m., funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., at Draper Baptist Church, 22 Draper Road, Wellsboro, with Pastor Ronald Hagy officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements are by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro.
