Gerald W. Barnes, Jr. 65, of Tioga, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Born on Sept. 6, 1947, in Blossburg, he was the son of Gerald W. and Agnes (Kelly) Barnes, Sr.
Prior to his retirement, Gerald was employed in the maintenance department with Endless Mountains Transportation Authority (EMTA). He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on TV and going sleigh riding with his niece.
Gerald is survived by a brother, Ralph K. Barnes of Mansfield; two sisters, Rosemary Barnes of Covington, Joyce Ann Barnes of Blossburg and one niece, Breanne D.K. Barnes of Covington.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 10, from noon to 2 p.m., at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main St., Mansfield. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Darwin "Tink" Cranmer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Gerald's memory to EMTA, 2978 S.
