John J. Sharp, 75, of Nokomis, Fla., passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.

Born July 24, 1938, in Holliday, he was the son of Stewart and Doris Marple Sharp.
He was manager at Venice Tire, Sarasota Fla. and a licensed fishing guide on Lake Okeechobee. He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting deer and turkey and was a fan of NASCAR. He was a former race car driver in his younger days.
He was predeceased by his parents and two children. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Dolores; sons, Charles Sharp of California, Randy (Justina) Sharp of Arcadia, Fla.; daughter, Peggy Sue Albaugh of Alabama; step-daughter, Alison (Jeff) Herrman of Venice, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity for animals. A graveside service will be held at Roseville Cemetery in the spring/summer of 2014.
