Linda Ruth (Thomas) Staff, 71, of Brenham, Texas, died at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, Texas, Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Linda was born in Pittsburgh, on March 10, 1941, the daughter of Edwin Conrad and Ruth Grace (Northy) Thomas. She was married to George W. Staff on Nov. 25, 1960, in Slippery Rock, and was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lyons, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, George W. Staff of Brenham, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John C. Gargani of Houston, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. and Pam Staff of Paso Robles, Calif.; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Elaine Thomas of Clearwater, Fla., Eric and Charlotte Thomas of Conway, S.C., David and Erla Thomas of Marysville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Christopher Gargani of Santa Clara, Calif., Matthew, Sarah, and Conrad Gargani, all of Houston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Linda, will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lyons, Texas with the Rev. John Boydston officiating. Linda's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made, in Linda's name, to Evangelical United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 440, Lyons, Texas 77863 or to the .
