Lois E. Wheaton, 88, of Westfield, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.

Born Oct. 30, 1924, in Hornell, N.Y., she was the daughter of Frank and Dorothy Campbell Knight.
On Nov. 19, 1966, in Westfield, she married Wilford W. "Willie" Wheaton, who predeceased her on June 23, 2008.
She was employed by Galeton Production. Lois was a life member and past president of Howard S. Lines VFW Post #6753 Ladies Auxiliary in Knoxville.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl (Jim) Cady, Westfield; three step-children, Judy (Alan) Payne and David (Louise) Wheaton, both of Knoxville; Sandy Marzo, Elkland; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a step-brother, Franklin "Sonny" Welch, Westfield; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Frances Whitehead; twin sister, Louise Burdick; a step-sister, Mary Mattison; and a son-in-law, Terry Marzo.
Friends called at the Olney Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Ulysses, on Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, with funeral services following at 12 noon. Her nephew, Rev. Duane Burdick, officiated.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville.
