On Monday, June 10, 2013, Tioga resident Marjorie Rebecca Swanson went home to her Heavenly Father.
Born in Breezewood, on March 16, 1923, she is the daughter of Charles E. and C. Helen (Salkeld) Clark. She was the widow of Carl Arthur ""Art"" Swanson.
Surviving are her son, Carl L. Swanson of Tioga; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn (Rich) Bowers, Millerton, Christine Swanson, Tioga, Joyce (Ronald) Stephens, Tioga; grandchildren, Eric T. Swanson, Ted and Tim Bowers, Robyn Bowers Hill, Rebecca Wells Stone, Mark Wells and Lori Wells Beier, Aaron and Lindsay Stephens, David Beatty; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Ada) Clark of Breezewood; her twin sister, Margaret Elizabeth ""Peggy"" Carleton, Mansfield; and sister, Betty Wilt of Breezewood. She was predeceased by her husband, ""Art,"" in 2004; a brother, Charles Dean Clark, and grandson, Joel A. Stephens in 1998.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 5, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the East Lawrence Baptist Church, Lawrenceville. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church with Pastor G. Victor Perry officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga. Memorial contributions may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, 16 Charleston St., Wellsboro, Pa. 16901, or to the East Lawrence Baptist Church, 1139 East Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, Pa. 16929.
