Nicola A. "Nick" Magli, 82, of Wellsboro, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Carleton Nursing Home.
Nicola was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Brooklyn N.Y., the son of the late Onofrio and Antoinette Vitarella Magli.
He was retired from Merrill Lynch as a bond trader in New York City. Nicola was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War.
Surviving are his sons, Anthony J. Magli (Ashley) of Middlebury Center, Steven O. Magli of Toms River, N.J., Nicholas Magli (Susan) of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Carol A. Acquaviva (Arthur) of Bayville, N.J., Julie A. Martinez of Matawan, N.J.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Local arrangements are by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m., at the Wellsboro Cemetery, with full Military Honors with Fr. John Chmil officiating. Tony....I knew your dad only for a short period of time but he was a man of great will and determination! I am so sorry for you loss and I know at this time words do not offer the comfort needed. I hope and pray that peace will soon be with you and your family.
