Reva L. Smith, 88, of Middlebury Center, passed away at the home of her daughter, Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013.

She was the wife of Arthur E. Smith who preceded her in death, May 4, 2008. Reva was born July 17, 1925, in Charleston Township, the daughter of the late Ira J. Locey and Vera Ripley Locey Keck.
Reva graduated from Wellsboro High School. She was formerly employed by Corning Glass Works, Wellsboro and C.H. Dillman & Sons, Wellsboro as a secretary and bookkeeper. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family. Reva was a member of Middlebury Baptist Church for over 55 years, serving as soloist, choir member, superintendent, Sunday School teacher and president of ABW for most of those years. She was also committee member for relocation projects and later addition to the church. Reva was active in Elnora Rebekah Lodge #28, Keeneyville for 34 years, served as Past Noble Grand Secretary for 26 years, recipient of Decoration of Chivalry, District Deputy President for three years, District 19 LOA Club secretary, and Past District Deputy President. She was the treasurer of Fairview Cemetery, Holiday. Her hobby of oil painting, she shared with her family and friends.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Loris K. and Margaret Smith of Elmira Heights, N.Y., Terry L. and Delores Smith of Muncy; daughters and sons-in- law, Linda K. and Richard Hastings, Nancy L. and Thomas Reese, Candi F. and William Stager, all of Wellsboro; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Effie Potter of Westfield. Reva was preceded in death by her brothers, Lyle Locey, Loris Locey and a sister, Hortense (Peg) Gee.
Friends and family are invited to Reva's Life Celebration on Friday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will be Saturday Sept. 14, 11 a.m., at Middlebury Baptist Church with Pastor Calvin Cutting and Pastor Todd Witmer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
