Robert L. "Peeper" Anderson, 84, of Galeton, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013.

Born May 25, 1928 in Galeton, he was a son of the late Arthur H. and Lena M. (Smith) Anderson.
Robert was a Veteran having served in the United States Army.
On Feb. 21, 1953, in Galeton, he married the former Lu Anna Connelly, who survives.
He worked for Consolidated Natural Gas as a fieldman, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Galeton Masonic Lodge #602, the Coudersport Consistory and the Sayre V.F.W. Robert greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening and anything outdoors.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Lu Anna Anderson, are a son, Harold (Lynn) Anderson, Galeton; two daughters, Gail (Gary) Harper, Westfield; Sue (Rick) Gilbert, Galeton; two sisters, Joan (Roger) Walter, Gaines; Carolyn (Gary) Ruef, Galeton; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by three brothers, John, Victor, and Tommy.
Friends may call at the Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton, on Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday, May 23, from 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral services following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Tom Shatto will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded by the Potter County Honor Guard.
Interment will be made in the Knowlton Cemetery, Gaines.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gale Hose Ambulance Association.
