Rose M. Nace, 64, of Middlebury Center, formerly of Harleysville, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013, at her residence.
She and her beloved husband, Milton Nace would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in July.
Born in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Esther (Bergey) Kern. She graduated from Quakertown High School, Class of 1966.
Mrs. Nace was employed as a custodian for the Wellsboro School District for 11 years prior to her retirement in 2011. While living in the Harleysville community, she was employed as an accounts payable clerk for Fresco Systems in Telford for 10 years, and earlier for Nyce Printing in Vernfield for 10 years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds, and animals, especially dogs and horses.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Nichols and her husband James of Pennsburg, Tammy Nace of Massillon, Ohio; three grandchildren, Alicia Nace, Emily Nichols, Christy Nichols; two sisters, Marlene Bivighouse of Red Hill, Jane Avender of Perkasie; and three brothers, Russell Kern of Sellersville, Larry Kern and his wife Dusty of Quakertown, and Brian Kern of Red Hill. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Tucker.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 11 a.m., in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford. Interment will follow in the Franconia Mennonite Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, Pa. 19002. .
