Stephen Lee Jayne, 40, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 20, 2013.
Stephen was born Jan. 30, 1973, in Elmira, N.Y., a son of Charles and Frances (Dyke) Jayne.
He was owner and operator of Jayne Logging and Tree Service. Stephen enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting pool, swimming, playing golf, and a good barbecue.
Stephen is survived by a son, Shawn Barrett of Blossburg; his mother, Frances Jayne of Mansfield; his father and step-mother, Charles Jayne and Sheila Smith of Millerton; his sweetheart, Jodi Daley and family, Beth, Bashan, Joey, Christel, Avery, Aryan and Josh; a brother, Kenneth (Kim Kennedy) Jayne of Mansfield; nieces, Brittney Jayne Kingsley, Kelcey JoAnn Jayne; two great-nieces, Kamerin and Kadence; one great-nephew, Konner; aunts, uncles and cousins; preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Durward and Leona Dyke; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Marion Jayne.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, April 24, from 3 to 4 p.m., at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., on Wednesday following calling hours with the Rev. Jeff McCleary and Pastor William Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen's memory to the Mansfield Ambulance Association, 379 S. Main St., Mansfield, Pa. 16933.
