William Lloyd Vroman, 79, of Culpeper, Va., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a member of the Morris United Methodist Church in Morris, and a member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 17, in Lakeview, N.Y., since Oct. 4, 1956. He was a member of Arcana Lodge No. 580 F. & A. M. of Austin.
Born Sept. 25, 1933, in Morris, he was a son of Lloyd A. Vroman and Linnea M. Williams Vroman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Eloise Glover Vroman; daughters, Luanne Carns and husband John Carns, Billie Sue Miller and husband D. A. Miller, Betsy V. Sexton; sons, Garry William Vroman and wife Linda Ridenour Vroman, Jamie Lloyd Vroman and wife Susan Hope Smith Vroman; grandsons, Garrett Lee Edward Vroman, Lucas William Vroman and Logan Jacob Vroman.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Morris United Methodist Church at 1990 State Highway 287 in Morris, with the Rev. Keith Diehl officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery following the funeral service. Local arrangements are by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro.
