Charles L. Wilson, Sr., 100, of Wellsboro, died Sunday May 18, 2014, at The Laurels in Wellsboro.

Charles was born on April 28, 1914, in Delmar Township, Tioga County. He was the son of the late Roger and Irene (Catlin) Wilson. Charles married Louise J. Hunter on May 1, 1937, whom passed away on Sept. 14, 2009.
Charles graduated from Wellsboro High School and started out as a farmer and retired from Corning Glass Works (Wellsboro) in 1979. Charles was a member of the Coolidge Hollow United Methodist Church.
Mr. Wilson is survived by four sons and one daughter, Charles L. Wilson, Jr. (Rosella) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Kenneth J. Wilson (Carol) of Mansfield, Edward L. Wilson (Joyce) of Wellsboro, William W. Wilson of Wellsboro and Barbara Turk (John) of Frewsburg, N.Y. Charles has one sister, Rena Brooks of Gang Mills, N.Y. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Irene; his wife, Louise; four sisters, Gertrude Thompson, Doris Torpy, Leah Brooks, Naomi Day and brother, Howard Wilson.
Friends and Family are invited to Charles' Life Celebration on Thursday, May 22, from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8p.m.; also Friday, May 23, from 10 to 11a.m., and the service will follow Friday's viewing at 11 a.m. which will be held at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with Pastor Donna Lynne Vaux officiating. Burial will take place in the Wellsboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Coolidge Hollow United Methodist Church, Morris Road, Wellsboro, Pa., 16901.
