Lois Ann H. O'Rourke, 82, of Wellsboro, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Green Home in Wellsboro.

She was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of the late Joseph Leo and Helen R. (Moran) Flaherty.
She graduated from St. Ann's Academy High School in 1949. Lois was retired as a registered nurse and a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. She also was retired as a certified registered nurse in chemical dependency at White Deer Treatment Center, Allenwood. Lois was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where she was a greeter and lecturer and a Eucharistic minister at the Green Home. Lois loved her pet cats. She enjoyed counted cross stitching, ceramics, puzzles and macramé. Lois also loved to travel.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Garry L. Clark of Wellsboro; two nieces and a nephew; two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Flaherty and her sister, Joan Barrett.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m., with Rev. John T. Chmil officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Memorials may be made in Lois's name to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 47 Central Ave., Wellsboro, Pa. 16901 or The Samaritan House, 3 Morgan Terrace, Wellsboro, Pa. 16901.
