Marjorie E. Ninkovich, 88, of Galeton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.

Born Sept. 27, 1925, in Galeton, she was a daughter of the late Benno E. and Genevieve (Lutz) Kramer.
Marge graduated from Galeton High School in 1943 and from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in 1945. She married Frank Pennell on Sept. 25, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1976. She married Thomas Ninkovich on Aug. 18, 1983. He preceded her in death in 1998. Marge worked for Newton's Garage and Tarabori's Garage as a bookkeeper for several years, was the tax collector in Galeton for 12 years, was the first director of the Potter County Office of Aging from 1974-1981, and was the director of seven Senior Centers in Lebanon County for three years. Marge was a member of St. Bibiana's Catholic Church in Galeton where she taught CCD classes for several years and sang in the choir starting at age 16 until moving from Galeton in 1981.
Surviving are three sons, David (Martha) Pennell of Galeton, Robert (Machele) Pennell of Wellsboro, John Pennell of Thomasville; two daughters, Dianne (Jeff) Ignazitto of Fort Atkinson, Wis., Patti (Darrell) Gamble of Brookland; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Kramer. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Marge was predeceased by a son, Jeffry Pennell and a brother, Robert Kramer.
Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Galeton, and on Friday, Aug. 22, from 10 to 11 a.m., at St. Bibiana's Catholic Church in Galeton with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Dougherty will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the
