Charles H. Douglass, 79, of Sabinsville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro.

Born Dec. 16, 1934 in Sabinsville, he was the son of the late James Carlton and Josephine (Tremain) Douglass.
He married Bernita Butler.
Charles served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was a member of the PA Farmers Association and served on the advisory council, a member of the Eastern Milk Producers and the Westfield United Methodist Church. He was an agent for the Grange Insurance, a forest fire warden and the Hector Township Supervisor.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Bernita; his children, Ann (Kris) Ritter, North Bingham; Elizabeth (Kevin) Kulish, Sabinsville; James (Gretchen) Douglass, Sabinsville; six grandchildren, Samuel Ritter, Alex and Katherine Kulish, Sadie (Sean) Mack, Amanda Kemp and Sawyer Douglass; his sister, Mary Ann (Larry) VanDruff, Cazenovia, N.Y.; a brother, William (Irene) Douglass; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 West Main Street, Westfield on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. with Pastor Chris Freeman and Ed Heyler officiating. Burial will be in the Douglass /Redner Family Cemetery in Sabinsville.
