James Richard Elliott, 77, of Knoxville, passed away on Aug. 25, 2014 at Collins Personal Care Home in Elkland.

Born June 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Olin) Elliott.
He served in the U.S. Army
James married Carol (McCutcheon) and they shared 45 years together until she passed away on June 26, 2002 and then married Marcia (Dibble) in 2004.
He retired from the North Penn Gas Company in 1999, was a former member of the Free and Accepted Masons in Knoxville, served on the Fairview Cemetery Board and bowled for 40 years in Westfield and Elkland.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia; his children, Victoria Elliott, Rochester, N.Y.; Barbara and Tom Kyle, Honeoye Falls, N.Y.; Robert James and Lisa Elliott of Dover, Pa.; his grandchildren, Tommy and Tyler Kyle, Honeoye Falls, N.Y.; Kasey, Megan and Sadie Elliott, Dover, Pa.; step children, Jack Eldridge, Vonda Reid, Luann Kowalski and Myra Stinehart; a sister, Roberta and Ed Sahrle, Woodhull, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, Carol, he was also preceded in death by his son, Steven James.
Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 West Main Street, Elkland, on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 4 p.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Osceola.
