Linford W. Parker, 63, a lifelong resident of Brookfield passed away Dec. 9, 2012, following a short illness and while receiving hospice care in Wellsboro.
The Guest Book is expired.
Born Sept. 11, 1949 in Wellsboro, he was the son of Perry C. and Mary Elizabeth (German) Parker of Brookfield.
He married Linda S. Herlocher on July 22, 1973 and remained in love with his bride until the moment of his passing. Mrs. Parker survives.
A member of no specific church, he worshiped God through hard work, devotion to his family, and integrity in all his dealings.
There can be no doubt that he accepted grace and carried it with him all his days. He was a dairy farmer, the third generation to own and operate his family farm. He loved his family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. He was also an avid hunter, enjoyed attending the Tioga County Fair and traveling with his wife.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son, Daniel Parker, and a daughter, Amy (Jason) Pierce. He was a kind and loving father, who was proud of his children. Also surviving are a brother, Leon (Sandra) Parker, Bradford, N.Y.; sisters, Jocelyn Parker, Brookfield; Joyce (Sterry) Root, Brookfield; Joan Harding, Knoxville; Jane Ames, Bath, N.Y.; Jacqueline (James) Mills, Brookfield; numerous nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois and Janet, and two brothers, Harry and Lawrence.
Friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home, Westfield, Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Brookfield United Methodist Church. Pastor Ed Collins will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
