William Ward Obituary

William T. Ward
William T. Ward, 72, of New Ringgold, formerly of Bayonne, N.J., died Saturday evening, Nov. 28, in the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hometown. He was the partner of Regina Krawczyk for 21 years.
Prior to retiring, he was a police officer with the Bayonne Police Department for 25 years.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of the late Elisha and Irene (Timmreck) Ward.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Ward was a Navy veteran who served upon the USS Skywatcher, where he met President Kennedy.
He was a member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli and the American Legion, Bayonne.
He loved to reload ammunition and shoot at the gun range.
He was preceded in death by a brother James.
Surviving in addition to his partner are two sons, Jason, and his wife, Lisa, of Kearny, N.J., and Jonathan, and his wife, Jessica, of Temecula, CA; a daughter Jessica, wife of David Nash of Roselle Park, N.J.; a brother Gerald of Bayonne; a sister, Helen Geis, Lakewood, N.J.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Caleb and Madison Ward and David and James Nash; and two nieces.
Service: Funeral service 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 W. Penn Pike, Rt. 309, New Ringgold. Military rites by Lehighton UVO. Call 2-6 p.m. Friday. Private interment at convenience of family. Contributions in his name may be made to a charity of choice. Online registry and condolences may be signed at www.hartmanfuneralhomeinc.com.
