Dale C. Knauss
Dale C. "Dick" Knauss, 61, of Lehighton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 7, in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. He was the loving husband of Bonnie Knauss for over 44 years. He worked for the Horsehead Corporation for over 41 years. Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Franklin and Ruth Knauss.He was a life member of the Lehighton Fire Company.
Knauss was an avid camper, loved the outdoors and enjoyed vacationing with his family.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Sherry, wife of Steven Onushco; a son, Dale Jr.; three grandchildren, Vanessa and Savannah Haas and Slade Knauss; three brothers, Floyd "Tinker" Brown, and his companion, Joanne, Phil Knauss, and his wife, Pat, and Doug Knauss, and his wife, Dawn; two sisters, Brenda "Amy" Kistler and Tina Drofich; and many nieces and nephews.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, Schaeffer Funeral Home, Third and Alum streets, Lehighton, with the Rev. F. Leon Morgan officiating. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday, May 18. Online condolences can be offered at www.schaefferfunerals.com.
