Barbara Ann Bauer Barbara Ann Bauer, 71 of Spring Garden Street, Reading, passed away Thursday in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of James Bauer. Born in Sayre, PA she was raised by her paternal grandparents, the late Perry and Ethel Setser of Tunkhannock. She was a 1961 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a daughter, Amy Watkins, of Minnesota; and one granddaughter, Mary Grace Perry of Turnersville, N.J. Mrs. Anne L. Dryburgh Mrs. Anne L. Dryburgh, 64, of Lehighton, died Monday, Jan. 26, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the widow of Dennis Dryburgh, who died in 2012. She was a seamstress for Majestic of Palmerton for 30 years before retiring. Prior to that, she worked for Maria Rose. Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Annetta (Weaver) Yesik. She was a member of Ben Salem UCC, Lehighton. Surviving are two daughters, Kelly, wife of Eric White, and Rebecca Steigerwalt, both of Andreas; a son, Jason Steigerwalt, and his wife, Brandi, of Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Chloe Grace Steigerwalt; her mother-in-law, Pauline Dryburgh of Lanoka Harbor, N.J.; and a sister, Tina Blose of Lehighton. Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Rd., Lehighton. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. Fronheiser, Ricky A. - Palmerton  
Ricky A. Fronheiser Ricky A. Fronheiser, 55, of North First Street, Lehighton, died late Monday evening, Jan. 26, in the Blue Mountain Health System's Lehighton Campus after being stricken at home. He was a welder for the Kovatch Corporation, Nesquehoning, and previously had worked in the same capacity for the former Ross Bicycle Corporation, Hanover Township. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Ruthann (Fronheiser) Willassen-Binder of Weissport and the late Robert L. Ahner. Surviving in addition to his mother are a son Zachary; five brothers, Robin L. (Diane) of Palmerton, Ross (Robbi) Ahner of Kunkletown, Roger (Arlene) Ahner of Jim Thorpe and Daniel Willassen and Joshua Willassen, both of Weissport; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy Fronheiser. Service: Funeral service at convenience of family. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Hazuda Jr., George - Doylestown  
George Hazuda Jr. George Hazuda Jr., 86, of Doylestown, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Rybski) Hazuda. He was formerly employed as a cost estimating engineer with Johns Manville, Manville, N.J., for over 25 years before retiring. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a resident of Doylestown for the past 10 years. He formerly resided in Northampton.He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Hazuda was a member and former treasurer of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning, and currently belonged to the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Allentown. He enjoyed golf and was proud to have recorded three holes-in-one. He was the devoted father of Daria Hazuda, and her husband, Paul McDonald, of Doylestown, and the late George D. Hazuda; dear brother of Anne Thear and her late husband, Thomas, Eleanor Polanichka, and her husband, Fr. Michael Polanichka, Fr. Ronald Hazuda, and his late wife, Dolores, and the late John and Dorothy Hazuda and Mary and John Opreskoe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Majka, Jeanina L. - Reading  
Jeanina L. Majka Jeanina L. (Coccio) Majka, 84, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and long-time resident of Exeter Township, passed away on Jan. 26 of natural causes at Berkshire Commons. She was the widow of Philip Majka, who predeceased her in May 2004. They were married 54 years. Jeanina was retired, last employed for 12 years at Godiva Chocolates and 7 years at Western Electric. Born in Brockton, on Dec. 16, 1930, she was the beautiful daughter of the late Guido and Emma Albina (Pacelli) Coccio.Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis J. Kowalski, former wife of Edward Kowalski; two granddaughters, Lisa Kowalski and Sherry, wife of Kevin Schuetrumpf; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Schuetrumpf, Allison Schuetrumpf, and Benjamin Kowalski; two brothers, Albert Coccio of Tamaqua and Joseph Coccio of Philadelphia; and one sister, Mary Jane (Coccio) Morgans of Harrisburg. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Philip and Guido Coccio; and two sisters, Rosemarie Jupin and Louise Dewire. Service: noon, Feb. 6, Bean Funeral Homes, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Twp. McKoy, Kyle - Palmerton  
Kyle McKoy Kyle McKoy, 26, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. Our beloved Kyle succumbed to a severe asthma attack, as did his mother 10 years ago. Kyle was the son of Brett McKoy and the late Pamela (Sell) McKoy. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. He was a kind, caring person, which he demonstrated by donating his organs after his death so others could live. He was employed by FedEx ground in Hagerstown.Surviving in addition to his father are the love of his life, Angel Irving, and their dog, Mickey; two brothers, Zachary and Nikolas; paternal grandparents, Robert and Helen McKoy; maternal grandparents, Robert and Janice Sell; an uncle, Rob "Uncle" Holly and their sons, Noah and Hunter; stepmother, TerrieAnn McKoy; two stepsisters, Candie Gilbert, and her children, and Brieann, wife of Alex Jones, and their son; and two stepbrothers, JD and Jaiquon McKoy. Donald R. Mormando Sr. Donald R. Mormando Sr., 76, of Fireline Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 28, in his home. He was the husband of Pamela J. (Derr) Mormando since May 28, 1998. He was a self-employed limousine driver in the New York City area for many years.Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Paul and Carmela (Rayano) Mormando. He was a member and enjoyed volunteering at Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville. Mormando was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War Era. He also volunteered as an assistant Girl Scout leader in Palmerton for several years. Surviving in addition to his widow are four daughters, Donna, wife of John Foley of Las Vegas, Nev., Krystal Rehrig of Breinigsville and Shiann Mormando and Amber Rehrig, both at home; four sons, Paul Mormando in Florida, Donald R. Mormando Jr. in New York, Matthew Mormando, and his wife, Lauren, of Milltown, N.J., and Ricky Rehrig Jr., at home; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Alexis, Paul and Michael; two brothers, Paul of Staten Island, N.Y., and Vincent in New York; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a sister. Service: Memorial service with military honors 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Rd., Palmerton, Trachsville, with the Rev. Kathryn E. Owens, James E. - Clarks Summit  
James E. Owens James E. Owens of Clarks Summit passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015. James (Jamie) was born July 17, 1968 in Lansford and attended St. Ann's Parochial School before moving to Factoryville. He is survived by his parents James F. Owens of Factoryville and Fran Owens of Tallahassee, FL, along with his step-father Gary Phillips of Tallahassee, FL; life partner Stacey Harris of Clarks Summit, and her children, Stephanie, Austin, Christian and Gena; sister Tara Owens Gozalzadeh of Springfield VA; brother Sean Owens, and grandmother Marie Owens of Lansford; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Service: A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at the Ramada Inn Clarks Summit on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. Others who wish to visit are welcome between 2:30 and 4:30 pm.

Michael C. Rex Michael C. "Mickey" Rex, 56, of Albrightsville, formerly of Palmerton, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, in Wilkes-Barre. He was born March 15, 1958, in Palmerton, to Delores (Frohn-heiser) Rex of Weatherly and the late Asa Rex. He attended Palmerton High School where he exceled in sports. He served in the U.S. Army USATC Infantry. He also worked in construction for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He is survived by his mother; daughter Sara Rex of Tamaqua; son, Michael "Mikey" of Lehighton; a stepdaughter, Charissa Butchco of Lansford; he was the loving grandfather of Heaven, Leigh and Johnny of Tamaqua, and Joseph Jr, Kora, Mckenna and Landyn of Lansford; sisters, June, Joan and Joanne; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Terry, Thomas and Gary; and a sister, Cindy. Service: Memorial service to be announced at a later date. Arrangements by the Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Mrs. Patricia Scott-Ross Mrs. Patricia Scott -Ross, 52, of Rock Island, Tenn., passed away on Monday, Jan. 19, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Michael Ross. She was a laboratory technician for the Blue Mountain Health System from 1992-2011. Prior to her illness, she was employed by Aureus Medical Traveling Health Service and Fusion Medical Laboratories.Formerly of Lehighton and Palmerton, she was a daughter of Nancy (Bretz) Scott of Lehighton and the late Thomas Scott. She graduated from Toms River High School South, Toms River, N.J., in 1981, and received a degree from Northampton Community College in 1992. Patricia loved nature, animals, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are a stepson Vincent in Tennessee; a son, Gerard Crepezzi, and his wife, Sarah, of Bethlehem; a daughter, Amber Crepezzi of Bangor; a sister, Carol Scott of Lehighton; a brother Thomas, and his wife, Susan, of Palmerton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Larry Scott. Service: Graveside memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Lehighton, with the Rev. Michael Ahrensfeld officiating.
