Bossard Jr., Howard - Palmerton  
Howard Bossard Jr. Howard Bossard Jr., 91, of Slatington, formerly of Palmerton, died Thursday, in St. Luke's Hospice House, L.ower Saucon Township. He was the husband of the late Doris Bossard, who passed away in 2004. Prior to retiring in 1986, he worked as a purchasing agent for Mack Trucks, Allentown, for 31 years . Born in Danielsville, he was a son of the late Howard Sr. and Mary Ann (O'Toole) Bossard. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy, rising to the rank of Yeoman Second Class. Howard was a graduate of the Bethlehem Business School. He was a member of Living Hope Lighthouse Church, Palmerton, and F&AM Lodge 621, Lehighton. Surviving are a daughter, Gail, wife Kenneth Chiriani of West Lawn, Berks Col.; son Timothy and his wife, Linda, of Emmaus; grandchildren Shelly Myers and Natalie Hetrich; one great-grandson; and companion, Dianne Frantz, with whom he resided. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, in Living Hope Lighthouse Church, 705 Third St., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday in church. Arrangements by the T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.

Breiner, Sally L. (Memoriam) - Bowmanstown

Bailey, Lloyd C. - Orwigsburg  
Lloyd C. Bailey Lloyd C. "Buck" Bailey, 92, of McKeansburg, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 peacefully at Seton Manor Inc., Orwigsburg. He was the husband of Reta M. (Smith) Bailey. They married on Jan. 27, 1951. Buck was born in McKeansburg, on March 18, 1923, a son of the late Alma J. (Stamm) Bailey and Charles W. Bailey. He was a member of Christ Church, McKeansburg, and a 1941 Tamaqua High School graduate He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. 3512 Ord Med Auto Maint Co. Buck was employed as a construction inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. He then went to Hamburg Hospital and worked in the maintenance department. Buck worked for the railroad early in life and is most remembered for being a bartender for Brady's Seafood House, now the McKeansburg Hotel, for many years. He was also a life member of the New Ringgold Fire Co., and life member of the Hamburg American Legion In addition to his wife Reta, of 64 years, Buck is also survived by two sons Bruce L., husband of Diane Bailey, of Schuylkill Haven, and Charles H., husband of Laura Bailey, of Tamaqua; two grandsons, Ryan L. Bailey and Justin C., husband of Kate Bailey; a granddaughter, Ashley L. , wife of Stephen Pliska; four great-grandchildren, Bailey R. Pliska, Kenneth Bailey, Evan and Isaac Pliska. He was preceded in death by an infant son; a grandson John L. Bailey; and a sister Josephine A. Bartashus Service: Religious services will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, with Rev. Sunny L. Stock officiating. Interment will follow at Drehersville Evangelical Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Barnisky, Joseph A. - Tamaqua  
Joseph A. Barnisky Joseph A. Barnisky, 76, of East Elm Street, Tamaqua, died Monday in Coaldale. He was the husband of Jo-Ann (Philipovic) Barnisky, to whom he was married 47 years. Prior to retiring, he had been employed at the White Haven State School and Hospital for 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on active duty from 1958 to 1960. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of Wanda (Kalis) Barnisky of Weatherly and the late Albert Barnisky. Joseph was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, Tamaqua. He graduated from Tamaqua High School in 1958 and attended Penn State University for two years. A member of the East End Fire Company, Tamaqua, he was an avid hunter and avid fan of Tamaqua High School sports. Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are a daughter, Jo-Lynn, wife of Kevan Valentine of Tamaqua; grandsons, Dylan and Lee Woods; stepgrandsons, Devan and Tanner Valentine; stepgreat-grandchild, Aiden Valentine; brothers, Al Barnisky and his wife, Linda, Michael Wester, and his wife, Carol, all of Tamaqua, Earl Wester, and his wife, Diane, in Vermont, and Daniel Wester of Miami, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
