Terrance P. Devitt Terrance P. Devitt, 55, of Cypress Street, Lehighton, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, in his residence. He was the husband of Christine M. (Dillman) Devitt. They were married for 29 years on Sept. 6, 2015. He was a truck driver/freight hauler for New England Motor Freight, Mahoning Valley. Born in Homestead, FL, he was a son of Patricia Mary (Farrell) Devitt of Jim Thorpe and the late Thomas J. Devitt. He was a 1979 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. The deceased was of the Roman Catholic faith. Devitt was a life member of Lehigh Fire Co. No. 1, Lehighton, and enjoyed spending time at his home with his loving wife and family. Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are a daughter, Sarah M.; an unborn grandson Quinn; three brothers, Thomas of Nesquehoning, Michael of Carlisle and Daniel, and his wife, Tara, of Lehighton; and nieces and nephews. Service: Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton. Interment, Lehighton Cemetery. Call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday. Dorshimer, Richard R. - Palmerton  
Richard R. Dorshimer Richard R. Dorshimer, 50, of Bowmanstown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Laura A. (Engle) Dorshimer. They would have been married 25 years next month. He worked in construction for various local firms for many years. Rick was a member of St. John's Towamensing Lutheran Church, Palmerton. He loved spending time outdoors and being with his family. Born in Palmerton, Rick was a son of Karen (Mackerer) Shoemaker and the late Richard R. Dorshimer Sr. Survivors: wife; mother; daughters Alexis, Randi and Willow; one granddaughter on the way; sisters Levonne Andrews and Hollie Lorenzo; many nieces and nephews. Rick was predeceased by his brother Michael. Services: Memorial, 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, in the church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. in church. Arrangements, T.K. Gladys Duennemann Gladys Duennemann, 71, of Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton, died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 23, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the widow of Juergen W. Duen-nemann, who died in 1998. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Maria Rose Fashions Co., Palmerton.Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Gilberto Sr. and Francisca (Santiago) Gonzalez. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Palmerton. Surviving are a daughter, Yasenia "Jessie," wife of Randall Cuthbert of Coopersburg; a son, William Vargas, and his wife, Leasa, of Sioux City, Iowa; three grandchildren, Kylie, Ryan and Kyle; a sister Nereida, wife of Hiram Mercado of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Gilberto Jr. of Palmerton and Efrain of Lehighton; and nieces and nephews. Service: Graveside service 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, Towamensing Cemetery, Third Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton, with the Rev. Michael Frost officiating.
