Mrs. Agnes A. Johnson, 100, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Jim Thorpe, died Saturday, April 19, in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was the widow of John T. "Jack" Johnson, who died in 1992.
She retired after working as a clerk at the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, for many years.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Huber) McCauley.
She was a graduate of the former Mauch Chunk Catholic High School and the Allentown Business School.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, Clearwater, and a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.
Surviving are two sisters, Jean C. McElmoyle of Jim Thorpe and Rose Scotto of Ocean County, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by three sisters, Mary Rohn, Helen Singleton and Elizabeth Wherrity; and three brothers, John, Charles and James.
Service: Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe; Mass of the Christian Burial 11 a.m., Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. James J. Ward officiating. Interment, parish cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Call 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Contributions in her name may be made to the church, 180 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229.
