Agnes H. Negri

Agnes Helen Negri, 91, of Coaldale, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, in Coaldale. She was the wife of the late James Negri, who died in October 1974.
She worked in local garment factories, Van Heusen Co., Coaldale, and Tami Sportswear, Tamaqua.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Krajcovic) Blasko.
She was a 1940 graduate of Coaldale High School.She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua, and formerly SS. Cyril & Methodius, Coaldale, prior to its closing. She was former member of the church choir and guild.
She was a member of the American Legion, Rod & Gun Club, and life member of the VFW, all of Coaldale.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Catherine Blasko; nephews and nieces, Paula Blasko, Marc Blasko, Amy Blasko, Margo LaRizzo and her husband, John, Bernard Blasko and his wife, Linda, Judy Popham, and her husband Jerry, Greg Blasko, and his wife, Mary, Joseph Blasko, Michael Blasko, and Sheila Beard.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Frank, Rudy, Dominic, and Edward Blasko; and sisters, Mary Nylen and Velma Coster.
Service: on Monday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 307 Pine St., Tamaqua, with the Rev. William Linkchorst, officiating. Interment, SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Sunday, 7-9 p.m. at the Gulla Funeral Home, Coaldale; and Monday, 9-10 a.m. at the church.
