Alan V. Eis, 63, of Germansville, died Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Donna E. Mack.
He worked as a disability representative for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Born in Los Angeles, Calif., he was a son of the late Arthur and Elvira (Eshleman) Eis.
He was a member of the Germansville and Emmaus Fire companies.
Eis was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War
, having served on a ship that was chosen to retrieve one of the space capsules.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Laura L. Costagliola of Slatington; a granddaughter, Autumn K. Costagliola; and three brothers, Charles of Nesquehoning, Eric of Kunkletown and Steven in New Hampshire.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Valeta M. Service:
