Bertram F. Huggett
Bertram F. Huggett, 80, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, of Bear Creek Lakes, Jim Thorpe, died Saturday, March 15, in the Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly.
He attended high school at Girard College of Philadelphia, and then entered the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean Conflict. Returning home, he went to work for Glenside Concrete, Willow Grove, where he worked for 40 years.A man of deep faith, Bert was a member of St. Mark Episcopal Church of Jim Thorpe.
- He was the husband of Carol A. (Chat-tin) Huggett. They were married for 47 years.
Fishing and long drives listening to country music was how he relaxed, with an eye out for the perfect yard sale.
Bert was a family man and is also survived by four daughters, Patricia (Huggett), wife of Ken Miller of Royersford, Mary (Huggett) Gresko of Bucks County, Karen (Dickison), wife of Dan Spadaccini of Montgomery County, and Karen (Huggett) Sweeney of Middletown, Md.; six sons, Francis Huggett in Florida, Michael Huggett in Nevada, Steven Huggett, and his wife, Lynda, and Robert Huggett, both of Montgomery County, Billy Dickison of Jim Thorpe and Brett Huggett, and his wife, Kim, of Cambridge, Mass.; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Edward and James.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, St. Mark Episcopal Church, Jim Thorpe. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Monday in the church. Arrangements by Philip J.
