Mrs. Beverly A. Scott, 57, of Court Street, Lehighton, Union Hill, Franklin Township, died suddenly on Sunday, May 19, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, after being stricken at work. She was the wife of Hugh B. Scott since July 2, 1991.
She was a receiver for Redner's Warehouse Markets, Northampton, for the past 25 years.
Born in Louisville, Ky., she was a daughter of Betty J. (Snyder) Sterling of Palmerton and the late Melvin Sharbaugh.She was a 1974 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
She enjoyed family and friends, traveling, taking road trips and spending time at Indian Lake, Blakeslee.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are her stepmother, Thelma Sharbaugh of Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Shannon P. Steigerwalt and Tiffany J. Scott, both of Lehighton; a son, Hugh W. Scott, and his wife, Gina Zito, of Centennial, Colo.; four grandchildren, Gaige, Madelyn, Jenna and Brionna; two brothers, William, and his wife, Patricia, of Lehighton, and Gene in South Carolina; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Sterling.
