Daniel I. Miller, 21, of West Penn Township, died Thursday evening, Aug. 22, 2013, in Albany Township, Berks County.
Born in Lehighton, he was the son of Randy S. and Catherine (Fritz) Miller.
He worked on his parents' dairy farm, West Penn Township, and was also a mechanic at Charles S. Snyder, Inc., Tamaqua.
Previously, he was employed in maintenance at Koch's Turkey Farm, Tamaqua.
He was a member of St. Peter's Union Church of Mantzville.
Daniel was a 2011 graduate of Tamaqua High School and a graduate of UTI Trade School for diesel mechanics.
He was an Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout of Troop 755 of Clamtown, a member of West Penn Township Fire Co., West Penn Archery Club, Old Tyme Tractor Club, Gilbert and enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, tractor pulling and line dancing.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three brothers, Joshua of Tamaqua, Mark and Kevin of West Penn Township; maternal grandmother, Dorothy P. Fritz of New Ringgold; several aunts, uncles and cousins, his companion Emily Noecker of Orwigsburg; godparents, Roger Schoenberger, Lehigh-ton; and Cathy Riotto, Barnesville, two nieces Anna Marie and Isabelle, both of Tamaqua. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carvin C. and Pauline E. Miller, and maternal grandfather, Ira J. Fritz Jr.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in St. Peter's Union Church, 184 St. Peter's Road, Tamaqua, with the Rev. Cheryl L. Moore officiating. Interment will follow. Friends may call at the church Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m. Contributions may be made in his name to the church.
