DAVID J. HOFFMASTER
David J. Hoffmaster, 64, of Tamaqua, formerly of Reading, passed away Wednesday, July 24, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
David was born in Reading on March 20, 1949, a son of the late Eleanor L. (Jankowski) Hoffmaster McCormack and Irvin Hoffmaster and stepson of Robert I. McCormack.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela L. (Bachman) Hoffmaster, of Tamaqua.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class serving two tours of duty in the Vietnam War.He worked as a photographer and videographer for over 40 years.
He was a member of American Legion, Gregg Post 12, Vietnam Veterans of America Post 131, Berks County Patriots, Berks County 912, Berks County Tea Party, Checkered Flag Fan Club, East End Fire Co., Tamaqua and Rainbow Fire Co. #1, Reading.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca M., widow of Carl Henninger, of Tamaqua, sister, Donna A., wife of Gary Good, of Sinking Spring, brother, Robert J., husband of Theresa McCormack, of Lewisburg and brother, John F. McCormack, husband of Camille DeMarco, of Sinking Spring. He is also survived by granddaughter, Brittany and nieces and nephews.
Services: Friends are invited to gather Thursday, Aug. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home, in Reading's Centre Park Historic District, 625 N. 4th St. at Centre Ave., Reading. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to John P. Feeney Funeral Home, 625 N. 4th St., Reading, PA 19601 to help defray service expenses.
