Mrs. Deanna May Eberts, 72, of Bath, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, in the Alexandria Manor, Bath, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Richard P. Eberts, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage prior to his death in 2007.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Verna (Carrigan) Moyer.
She was a 1959 graduate of Lehighton High School.
Deanna was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also assisted with the bookkeeping responsibilities for her late husband's construction business.
The deceased was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bath, where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
She was a volunteer at the George Wolf Elementary School and a member of the Governor Wolf Historical Society and the East Allen Township Bicentennial Committee in 1976.
Deanna was active in scouts and formerly served as a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 33, Bath.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts, baking cookies, reading and spending time at her cabin at Lake Wallenpaupack.
Deanna will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are a son Jeffrey of Bath; two daughters, Julie, wife of Paul Graver of Walnutport, and Judi Wright of Pen Argyl; seven grandchildren, Jessie and James Eberts, Joshua Graver, and his wife, Julie, Katelyn Graver, Rebecca and Emily Hunsicker and Kyle Wright; a sister, Barbara Moyer of Lehighton; and a half-brother, Paul Moyer of Washington State.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hoehn.
Service: Funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, George G. Bensing Funeral Home, 2165 Community Dr., Rt. 946, Village of Moorestown-Bath. Future interment will be private in the Green Mount Cemetery, Bath. Call 1-3 p.m. Saturday. Contribubtions in her name may be made to the , 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, Pa. 18017, and/or the Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, Bath, Pa. 18014.
