Dolores M. Kirkendall

Mrs. Dolores M. Kirkendall, 86, of Lehighton, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in The Summit of the Blue Mountain Health System, Lehighton.
She was the widow of Richard F. Kir-kendall, who died in 1976.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Irene (Speshok) Kuhla.She worked for the former family business, Kirkendall's, Inc., and the former Scotty's Fashions, both of Lehighton, before retiring.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton, and was a volunteer for 25 years with the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and with many organizations throughout her life.
She was also very active with her children and grandchildren, in support of their athletic and academic careers, and served as a mother to many in the community.
Surviving are a son, Richard A., and two daughters, Deborah, wife of Todd Neff, and Diane, wife of Duke Valenti, all of Lehighton; two brothers, Bernard "Bunny," and his wife, Adelle, of Jim Thorpe, and Cletus "Bootsie," and his wife, Gloria, in New Jersey; six grandchildren, Brooke and Amanda Neff, Ricky and Kayla Kirkendall and Alina and Duke Valenti; and a great-granddaughter, Addisyn Kirkendall.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Donald.
