Mrs. Florence G. Barry
Mrs. Florence G. Barry, 91, formerly of Main Road, East Weissport, died Saturday evening, March 29, in the Countryside Personal Care Home, East Penn Township. She was the widow of Lawrence H. Barry, who died in 2012.
She was a machine operator for the former Barson and Bishop Garment Co., Weissport, for 20 years before retiring in 1975.
Born in Big Creek, Franklin Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Nothstein) Levan.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Big Creek.
Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheila K. Snyder, and her companion, Roger Henwood, of Lehighton; three sons, Keith R., and his wife, Phyllis, and Don K., and his wife, Kay, both of Lehighton, and Guy R., and his wife, Priscilla, with whom he resided; five grandchildren, Michael, Brandy, Marcia, Brandon and Ashley; five great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, four stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Virginia; and two brothers, Charles and William.
Service: Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, Union Hill Cemetery, Franklin Twp., with the Rev. Margie B. Good officiating. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview St., Lehighton.
