Mrs. Frances T. Sirsky-Stanley, 79, formerly of Lehigh and Columbia avenues, Palmerton, died early Sunday morning, Feb. 3, in Lower Towamensing Township. She was the wife of George R. Stanley since 1987.
- She had worked in assembly for the Hubbell Bell Corporation, Fogelsville.
Previously, she was employed in the delicatessen of the former Golden Key IGA, Palmerton.Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Theresa (Herega) Ukropec.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, and had volunteered at the church's stand at the Palmerton Community Festival and at the Nearly New Shop, Palmerton.
The deceased belonged to the Palmerton Hungarian Club.
She enjoyed dancing, polka music and traveling, having visited London, England, and often visited her daughters around the country.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five daughters, Dr. Theresa, wife of Mark Peterson of Cardiff by the Sea, Calif., Bernadine, wife of Richard Hamzik of Gardnerville, Nev., Patricia, wife of Daniel Simes of Jacksonville, Fla., Mary C., wife of Darryl Herman of West Bowmans, and Jennifer Stanley of Bethlehem; two sons, Charles F. Sirsky, and his wife, Dena, of Lehighton, and Jeff Stanley, and his wife, Sally, of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother Ambrose, and his wife, Patsy, of Swarthmore, Delaware Country; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Helen; and a brother John. Service:
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, with the Rev. J. Michael Beers officiating. Interment, parish's old cemetery, Palmerton.
