Gail A. Horner
Gail A. Horner died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. She was the loving and devoted wife of Paul Horner.
Gail graduated from Slatington High School in 1953, and went on to beauty school in Allentown to become a hairdresser. She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Slatedale for over 50 years. Her work allowed her time to devote to her number one concern: her family. She could always be seen supporting her children and her grandchildren at various activities from field hockey to skiing and everything in between.
- Born Aug. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Arlene (Walters) Jones.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Slatedale where she participated in various fundraising activities.
Survivors: In addition to her husband; she is survived by a son, Charles Horner of Schnecksville; a daughter, Jennifer Horner of Kuhnsville; and grandchildren, Lauren and Paige.
Services: Visitation hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kevin E. Hunsicker Funeral Home Inc., 4214 Main St., Slatedale, and again on Monday, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Church, 4118 Main St., Slatedale, followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Slatedale Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Pastor Hess. Contributions in her name may be made to the church.
