Mrs. Gladys A.
Mrs. Gladys A. Goldberg, 71, of 120 Skyline Drive, Franklin Township, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, July 20, in the Palmerton Hospital.
Prior to retiring, she was employed in the garment industry as a sewing machine operator for the former Drumheller's Mills and later for the former Tom's Sportswear, Lehighton.Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Clifford C. and Elinor H. (Hahn) Hoffman.
- She was the wife of Leonard E. Goldberg. They were married for 51 years on March 2.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lehighton.
In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, weaving afghans, playing bingo and spending time with her loving family.
Surviving are a daughter Bonnie, wife of Keith A. Fritz of Lehighton; a son Darrin, and his wife, Stacy, of Palmerton; three sisters, Florence, wife of Burdell Steigerwalt of Bowmanstown, and Ruthann, wife of Gene Mertz, and Susan wife of William Crostley, both of Lehighton; three brothers, Clifford, and his wife, Carol, of Saylorsburg, Carl of Lehighton and Clarence, and his wife, Beatrice, of Mahoning Valley; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by a sister, June Doll.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, Trinity Lutheran Church, 500 Ore St., Bowmanstown, with the Rev. Lois E. Randolph officiating. Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton.
