Glenn E. Dieter, 82, of Lehighton, passed away Tuesday, June 24, in his residence. He was the husband of the late Lois S. (Hand) Dieter, who died Dec. 21, 2013.
Prior to retiring, he was a laborer for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, and later worked in the same capacity for the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton.
He served our country with the Pa. Army National Guard.
Dieter was a member of Zion UCC, Lehighton; an active member of the Lehighton Fire Police, where he served as chief; and a life member of the Lehigh Fire Co. No. 1, Lehighton.
In his spare time, he loved to hunt large and small game and to fish.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Jeanette Hand; a brother-in-law, Franklin Balliet; a sister-in-law, Barbara Balliet; a nephew, Scott Balliet, and his wife, Robyn; and a niece, Kelly Michlovsky.
Service: Funeral service 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 27, Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton, with the Rev. Allen L. Heckman officiating. Interment, Parryville Cemetery.
