Mrs. Helen E. Guyer, 93, of South Avenue, Jim Thorpe, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the Palmerton Hospital. She was the widow of Harry E. Guyer.
For many years, she had worked alongside her husband at their business, Guyer's Beverage Distributors, Weissport.
Born in Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Anna (Jante) Davis.
She was a 1937 graduate of the former Mauch Chunk High School.
She was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church in the Heights, Jim Thorpe, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a choir member and was very involved with church functions and activities.
She loved her church and spending time on her front porch.
Surviving are a brother, William H. of Jim Thorpe' three nephews, William and Jeffrey, both of Jim Thorpe, and Alan of Allentown; and a niece, Sabyr-Lin Davis of Elizabethtown.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, St. John Lutheran Church, Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. F. Peter Muhr officiating. Interment, Lehighton Cemetery. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church.
