Helen G. Wetterau

Mrs. Helen G. Wetterau, mother and grandmother, 92, of Tamaqua, died Monday, Dec. 24, in the Blue Mountain Health System, Lehighton. She was the widow of Paul Wetterau, who died May 14, 2002.
She was a cashier at the former Leiby's Restaurant, South Tamaqua.
Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Bigley) Wallesa.
She was a member of Trinity U.C.C., Tamaqua.
The deceased worked the polls during elections.
She was active in Tamaqua Seniors, and had served as president of the former Tamaqua Women's Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Joan, wife of Raynor Leiby, and Janice, wife of Frank Zlock, both of Tamaqua, and Judy Angelus of Allentown; a son, Gary P., and his wife, Donna, of Tamaqua; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren;
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Jones and Mary Exner; and two brothers, Harry and Allen.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, Trinity U.C.C., Tamaqua, with the Rev. Thomas H. Reinsel officiating. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua.
