Helen R. Jones

Mrs. Helen R. Jones, 88, of West Patterson Street, Lansford, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was the widow of Thomas J. Jones, who died Jan. 30, 2007.
She and her husband were the proprietors of the former Jones' Bar, Lansford, until her retirement in 1983.
Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late William and Martha (Conahan) Evans.
She was a graduate of the former Summit Hill High School and a member of the former St. Ann Catholic Church, Lansford, and a current member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, and the Summit Hill American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Donald, and his wife, Sally, of Lansford, and William, and his wife, Donna, of Summit Hill; two daughters, Carol, wife of John Molotzak of Allentown, and Sharon, wife of Michael Chromiak of Hometown; nine grandchildren, Brian Jones, and his wife, Gena, Colin Jones, Kerry, wife of John Uher, Tommy Jones, Christopher Jones, and his wife, Jennifer, Lauren, wife of David Williams, Amie, wife of Shawn Fitzpatrick, Brynn, wife of Edward Dunkelberger, and Aaron Chromiak; five great-grandchildren, Brady and Carson Jones, Cade Jones, Ty Williams and Lucy Uher; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Johnson and Elizabeth Snyder.
Service: Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill; Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m., St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford.
