Hoyt D. Hartsell Jr.
Hoyt D. Hartsell Jr., 64, of Lehighton, died Monday, Jan. 27, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Deborah (Frantz) Hartsell. They observed their seventh wedding anniversary in April.
Born in Concord, N.C., he was a son of the late Edwin and Sarah S. (Poe) Donner and the late Hoyt D. Hartsell Sr.
He was a forklift operator at Alpo (now Nestle-Purina), Allentown, for 29 years, retiring in 2012.
He was a life member of the Lehigh Fire Co. No. 1.
Hoyt was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and NASCAR fan (especially Dale Earnhardt Sr).
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, John Hartsell of Lehighton and Chad Hartsell of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Jennifer Sterling of Lehighton; two stepsons, Arlington Solt of Kunkletown and Mark Solt of Bowmanstown; a stepdaughter, Laura Zacharias of Lehighton; a brother Warren, and his wife, Sandra, of Lehighton; a sister, Terri Everett of Lehighton; three grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
