Mrs. Janice (McLaughlin) Snyder, 77, of Tamaqua, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at St Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Donald Charles Snyder. They were married 61 years.
Janice was a stay at home mom while her children were growing up and later had worked as a bus aide for disabled children in Mercer County, N.J.
She was a 1952 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School who enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and baking.
Janice was a long standing member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows- the Rebekahs.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John and the Miriam (Roberts) McLaughlin.
She is also survived by her three daughters, Nancy E (Snyder) Ervin, and Miriam B. Snyder, both of Tamaqua, and Chris L. Snyder, of Hamilton, N.J.; two sisters, Illomay Nelson, of Tamaqua, and Miriam Fegley, and her husband Donald, of New Ringgold; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her brother, Donald L. McLaughlin on Sept. 12, 2012. Services:
