John F. Crowley, 88, formerly of Lehighton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29. He was the husband of the late Marie Crowley.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Lehighton for over 30 years.
The deceased was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Philippines and the Far East. He was wounded twice and was discharged in 1945.
Crowley was a past member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion, along with numerous other service organizations.
He was a former volunteer firehouse dispatcher and fireman in Lehighton.
Surviving are three sons, John, Bill and Edward.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City, Calif. Interment, Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd. Dixon, Calif. Call 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
