Luther A. Berger

Luther A. "Butch" Berger, 88, of Moravian Village, Bethlehem, died Tuesday, March 5. He was the husband of the late Jane (Edwards) Berger, who died in 2002.
He retired from PPL in 1984.
Born in Lyons Station, Berks County, he was a son of the late Theodore and Sylvania (Huseman) Berger.
A 1942 graduate of Kutztown High School, he was an Army veteran of World War II, having served from 1943-45. He was a Battle of the Bulge POW.
He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Allentown.
The last member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Alta, Icy, Laura Tuck and Genie Kershner; and two brothers, Claude and Lloyd.
Surviving are cousins, nieces and nephews.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. Pastor Betty Langensiepen officiating.
