Lynda M. Sheehan, 60, of West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, died Sunday, March 3, in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.
She was a substitute instructional assistant for the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of Adelle J. (Melber) Kuhla of Jim Thorpe and the late Donald J. "Ducky" Sheehan.
She was a 1970 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.
She was an avid book reader and loved to draw and play cards.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her stepfather, Bernard C. Kuhla, a brother, Donald "Uncle Ducky" Sheehan, two sisters, Karen S., wife of James Dunbar, and Joy S., wife of Michael Whiteman, and a niece, Emma Dunbar, all of Jim Thorpe; a stepsister, Karen Kuhla of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; a stepbrother, Michael Kuhla, and his wife, Erin, of Richmond, Va.; several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
Service: Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. John G. Hilferty officiating. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 10-10:30 a.m. Thursday. Contributions in her name may be made to the
