Mrs. Melanie Ann Humphrey, 45, of Blairstown, N.J., died Saturday Dec. 8, in the VNA/Hospice House, E. Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of Craig V. Humphrey, with whom she had celebrated 14 years of marriage.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of Glenn and Eileen (Mantz) Lutz of West Penn Township.
Melanie lived in the Blairstown area for the past 10 years and prior to that resided in the East Stroudsburg area for 13 years.
She was a graduate of the University of Scranton, where she received a BN degree in nursing.
She worked as a clinical nurse for 17 years in the Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, N.J., and later worked at the Pocono Medical Center and the Cancer Center, East Stroudsburg.
She was a member of Zion Stone Church Lutheran and United Christ of Christ.
She as a very devoted nurse and was always willing to help others. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two sons, Tanner and Logan; two brothers, Michael of Philadelphia and Mark, and his wife, Judy, of Belleville, Pa.; a sister Melissa, wife of Andrew Maxwell, and their children, Aengus and Finley; and her special aunt, Velma Mantz of Tamaqua.
Service: Memorial service 6 p.m. Friday Dec. 14, Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N. Ninth St., Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Ronald Martin officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 15, in Zion Stone Church Cemetery, New Ringgold. Call 4-6 p.m. Friday.
