O.H. "Dory" Sozio

O.H. "Dory" Sozio, 80, of Timonium, MD, formerly of Tamaqua, died Dec. 27 at Lorien Mays Chapel in Townson, MD, from complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was the husband of Dorothy Frances (Stevens) Sozio. They were married 55 years.
Prior to retiring in 1992, he had a 35 year career at Bethlehem Steel as a supervisor in the sheet mill. He then did independent consulting work over the next ten years.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Albert and Amelia (DiGirolamo) Sozio.
The 1950 graduate of Tamaqua High School earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in 1954. He also held an MBA degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.
He enjoyed traveling, golf and spending time with family and friends, including his many visits to Tamaqua. He will be remembered fondly by those whose lives he touched.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, David in Charlotte, N.C., and Andrew in Timonium, Md., three grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin and Juliana; a sister, Edith Verano of Tamaqua; and a nephew, Richard Verano of Tamaqua.
