Peter M. Wislosky Sr., 67, also known as "New York Pete", of 430 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at St. Luke's Miner Memorial Hospital, Coaldale.
Born in Hempstead, N.Y., he was the son of the late Peter Wislosky and Rose (Michnervitz) Wislosky Hook.
He last worked for a railroad in New York.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Peter was a member of the Lansford American Legion and Italian Club.
Surviving is a son, Peter Wislosky Jr., and his wife Barbara Ann, of White Stone, N.Y.; a daughter, Barry Levy, and her husband Glen, of Florida; granddaughters, Emily Wislosky and Amanda Wislosky; a sister, Pamela of Tamaqua; nephews, Ronald Tucker, and his wife Trisha, and their children Kyle and Sean, Matthew Tucker, and his wife Valerie, and their children Anthony and Matthew, Keith Tucker and Michael Loudon.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Loudon. Service:
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
